Chris Carroll felt so bad for the man’s wife and child that he took them in to his house. Mind you, this house only had three walls in the kitchen – he had knocked one whole wall out to do some work. Heaven gained a beautiful soul on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 when Mary Bracci Bowen, of State Route 10, Summit found eternal peace in the warmth and comfort of her home. She was born on September 28, 1940 in Brooklyn to Catherine and Umberto Bracci. Mary moved to Summit, NY in 1971 and in 1972 she was the first woman in Schoharie County to complete the Essentials of Firemanship School.
She received her degree in Pediatric Nursing from Foundling Hospital and worked for a year, before leaving to raise her family. Helen loved tending to her gardens, boating on Indian Lake and all of the day-to-day work that came along with loving her... When his health declined, he moved home to Williamston to the Vintage Inn apartments. Known to his relatives as Carroll, to his friends after he left Williamston, he was Chris, and to those of us who didn’t know which name to call him he was Chris Carroll. He never married – he did have one great love, Bob, who is deceased.
Louise Langone, age 100, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her three children on December 9, 2022. Louise was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Angelina Marco Leonetti.
